Names repeatedly re-surfaced by screens that are no longer investable
Claim
Screener articles, "cheapest stocks" listicles and stale vendor databases repeatedly surface names that cannot be bought. Each one costs a research cycle to rule out, and they recur across screens because the underlying sources never update.

Adjacent trap — the ticker still resolves
Worse than a dead name is a live one that isn't what you think. See
[[pitfall-adr-ticker-resolution]] — SCRYY resolves to SCOR SE, not Screen Holdings;
CPCAY to Cathay Pacific, not Capcom. The data comes back clean and describes a
different company.
What would falsify this
A relisting or spin-back to public markets. Rare, but check before acting on a "delisted" entry that's more than a couple of years old.
Maintenance
Append to this note whenever a screen rules out a name for corporate-status reasons. It's the cheapest note in the file to extend and the one that pays back most often.
